I found a kid who can solve any standard rubix cube in less than a minute... yes he's Asian...
As for the art I think this just shows how somone can make money with too much time on their hands.  If I had the money I would track it down and buy that mario one.  Amazing, makes me want to go out and buy a bunch of rubix cubes...

I can do it half that time. It's called speed cubing, and contestants of the world championship tend have an average of like 13 seconds on solving a cube...

yea i used to speed cube too, although i never got under a minute, it was because I hadn't memorized all the strategies yet. I think my quickest time was 8 minutes.

I got to 2 minutes with ease, but it's remembering those half a dozen of final patterns that took me under a minute. I'm rusty though, I tried again some time ago, and I can't get it under 5 minutes anymore

Nothing to do with brains skipper, I could give you a walkthrough that lets you solve it in half an hour... After that it's all fingerplay and remembering lots of positions...
